Just so we know, how much per month are your living/operating expenses? How much would you need to keep UP going? Most importantly, how much does health insurance cost in Bangladesh- thats the one thing that you really really need (imo) that you dont have already. You cant help people if you get sick or hurt.

You certainly have a very interesting take on the belief that we can be the generation that ends extreme poverty and likely an academic understanding - why not apply for a fullbright or look into dosomething.org grants?

How long can you continue until you go (totally) broke?

By watching your videos I felt for the first time a connection to the people who receive help. This is your big advantage over large organisations: We can see to whom the money goes and why. It is not anonymous. We can see their joy. It feels like real one to one help.

You should make use of this advantage. Judging from your comment your project either ends or has to take on a new direction. I suggest you become more professional. Found a charity, apply for tax exemption, start a program to directly address potential donors and build up a community of volunteer helpers (for administration, marketing, etc.).

If you fail, well, you can say you tried and did your best. (And admittedly, it is quite a challenge.) If you don't try you will never know if it could have succeeded.

I for one would like to help you to accomplish that. (E-mail me)

Christian has a good point. If you want to continue this project indefinitely, you might want to look into becoming a non-profit. I'm very involved with the Harry Potter Alliance and I know our upper-level staff have been going through the application process. I can try to get you in contact with them if you want.

Otherwise, for the short term the Nerdfighters have been working on this for a few days:
<a href="http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=58339026829" target="_blank">http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=58339026829</a>

The event was only posted yesterday afternoon, but we already have over 30 people helping.

A friend of mine did something similar to Uncultured some years back, only his target was the inner city youth of Mexico City. He got his support by enlisting a team of personal sponsors...basically, friends who pledged to send him a certain amount each month. He was able to work for three years in Mexico and did a lot of good with only three friends supporting him from the states.

Could it be time for you to ask for more than just support for the work...but actually support for you personally?
