Shawn,

What you are doing is the right thing and as a Bangladeshi I'm proud that you have chosen to support the poorest of the poor in my country.

I read that comment and it made me sick that a Bangladeshi could write such things. Also read the "dealing with haters" post which made me sadder.

Keep doing what you do. You, sir, are awesome.

To the reality person- We may not be able to make everyone in the world rich, but what I love about this project is that it's giving people resources and opportunities that they may not be able to get without the work Shawn is doing.
And to Shawn- I love what you're doing! I also love how you are teaching us by posting videos on youtube.
Oh, and have you ever seen the Bangladesh version of Sesame Street? I don't know if they do it in Bangladesh, but in India they mobile viewings for kids in poorer areas so they can watch the show and learn things like the alphabet and counting.
Keep up the good work and DFTBA!

To the above commenter: I enjoyed reading your comment for the lulz.

To anyone else: this is a great example of well-to-do people from Bangladesh hating on a project like this (often with off-base and factually incorrect comments like above). Although the author used the name "reality" - based on his IP and other data provided - I was able to trace this comment down to one Mohibul Hassan.

Mohibul is a graduate of the prestigious London School of Economics and also The College of Law in the UK. On Facebook, Mohibul is part of a facebook group called "Karl Marx" (keeping his anti-capitalism theme I s'pose). He also blogs for E-Bangladesh.org (here's his author page).

For more information on how Bangladeshis like Mohibul like to hate, instead of contribute constructively, read Dealing with Haters from Bangladesh.

hmmm.. changing the world. dudes, nice try, but tell you the truth, keep trying end of the day u'd get to a point from where all things will collapse and ur back to zero. this charitable do-good-ing is a total waste of time and unsustainable. the whole world cannot be out of poverty mate. simple. becoz the whole idea of our economic system runs on the notion that wealth or resources are limited becoz we have to own them and therefore the supply and demand logic of the free market will determine their allocation and then every idiot is happy. which of course we all know very well is a joke. its a dog eat dog world buddy. get rich or die trying. so to get rich, screw others. or do the real thing, blow up capitalism and change the mode of production and therefore the way we think. ur a christian do gooder, u religionists are the secondary cause of proverty after capitalism. thou needs to be burned in pre death hell for world to achieve equity. sod off mates. bad luck.

Hey Shawn! I am back in Venezuela. Hope you get all your goals this year in Dhaka. My admiration and support goes to you and I will be following you in twitter! I have found myself missing Dhaka a lot. I guess it left an imprint on me deeper than I thought. Regards and good luck!

Hey Shawn! Glad to see you made it back to Dhaka in one piece. I was wondering, are you going to be talking about recent political events in Bangladesh at all? I imagine that's had a huge effect on your ability to do your work. Please stay safe!
